Since 2015, the EEM Awards has raised funds for a range of charitable causes.
We are incredibly grateful to our sponsors and attendees whose support continues to make this possible.

OUR CHARITY FOR 2027
The Efficiency East Midlands Foundation

Any surplus or fundraising from the Building Communities Awards 2026 will support the next wave of funding through the Efficiency East Midlands Foundation.
Launched in 2025, the Foundation has already awarded £100,000 to 22 organisations across Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, supporting community groups, charities and social enterprises working to improve lives across the East Midlands.
The first round of funding focused on projects that build life skills, support social mobility and create routes into employment, as well as initiatives providing specialist support for people facing homelessness, trauma, poverty, disability, neurodiversity or involvement with the criminal justice system.
Funding has been delivered in partnership with Leicestershire and Rutland Community Foundation, with support from Derbyshire Foundation and Nottinghamshire Foundation, ensuring funding reaches communities where it is most needed.
We hope to raise as much money as possible through the Building Communities Awards to support projects like these in the future, and thank everyone who supports the event through sponsorship, ticket sales and donations on the night.
